With a win apiece, Jason Parrott and Riki Christodoulou now tie for the Formula A points lead. A double JICA victory for Will Stevens has catapulted him into the series lead from Scott Jenkins. David Batch and Danny Cruttenden enjoyed the ICA wins, but Matthew Bell is still 42 points to the good. Justin Edgar consolidated his 100 National lead, whilst after his successful appeal from exclusion at PFI, MacKenzie Taylor is ahead in Cadets with another win.

Elf/B4/Renault MSA British Kart Championship

Qualifying: Riki Christodoulou 36.75, David Gregory, Gary Catt.

Heat 1: Jason Parrott, Chris Rogers, Christo.

Heat 2: Christo, Parrott, Catt.

Final 1: Parrott led all the way whilst Christo lost a couple of places early on and had to work at regaining second.

Results Final 1: Parrott, Christo, Litchfield, David Gregory, Rogers.

Final 2: Parrott made an unforced error early on, going off at the bottom hairpin and gifting an easier win to Christo. Gregory and Litchfield fought over second, with Litchfield later coming under pressure from Rogers.

Results Final 2: Christo, Gregory, Litchfield, Rogers, Chris Brown.

Elf/B4/Renault MSA British Junior Kart Champs

Qualifying: Lee Bell 37.66, Nigel Moore, Will Stevens.

Heat 1: Moore, Ollie Millroy, Stevens.

Heat 2: Bell, Matt Truelove, Moore.

Final 1: Stevens stormed past Truelove and Stevens for the win. Millroy came out on top of the frenetic battle for second.

Results Final 1: Stevens, Millroy, Rowland, Truelove, Richard Bradley.

Final 2: Despite being pressed hard by Rowland and later Scott Jenkins, Stevens hung on for a double victory.

Results Final 2: Stevens, Rowland, Jenkins, Ben Cooper, Bradley.

Elf/B4/Renault ABkC ICA

Qualifying: Henry Arundel 36.96, Benjy Russell, Richard Kent.

Heat 1: Daniel Rowbottom, Arundel, Adam Batch.

Heat 2: Russell, D Batch, Jason Gardner.

Heat 3: A Batch, Rowbottom, Kent

Final 1: Whilst the front row pair of Rowbottom and Adam Batch slid backwards, having had the best out of their tyres, elder brother David Batch came through for the win.

Results Final 1: D Batch, Cruttenden, Bell, Tom Armour, Gardner.

Final 2: Halfway through David Batch lost the lead with a carb problem, leaving Cruttenden to deal with Armour and Marc Wood. The latter two had their own fight too, Armour re-passing Wood.

Results Final 2: Cruttenden, Armour, Wood, D Batch, Tom Brown.

Elf/B4 ABkC 100 National

Heats: Justin Edgar, Dane Smith, James Russell.

A Final: Edgar dived past Richie Steele for an unchallenged win. Dane Smith was black flagged, then Scott Baines, Martin Smith and Luke Johnson also came past Steele but Baines rotary valve failed him.

Results: Edgar, Martin Smith, Johnson, Richie Steele, Sarah Barrow.

Elf/B4 ABkC Formula Cadet

Heat winners: James Godbehere x 2, Pany Sofocleous.

A Final: Godbehere and Nicholas Cristofaro clashed on the third lap, the latter later retiring, letting Spencer Barrow into the lead until MacKenzie Taylor flew up to the front, followed by Max Goff.

Results: Taylor, Goff, Barrow, Francis Harrold, Shaun Pirie.

Scottish Snippets

Erstwhile JICA championship leader Lee Bell retired at the start of the first final, later reaching 16th in the second from the back.

After morning rain-storms the finals were all dry.

David Gregory (F.A) has returned to the series on a JKH Intrepid. Gary Catt endured an engine failure in the first final, and a carb problem in the second.

Next MSA round is at Rowrah on 31st July.
