Observed practice was held on a drying track favouring the last few able to take slicks: Rogers 39.01, Howard 39.31, Stoddart 39.39, Sheader 39.51, Conway 39.82. Heat wins: Sheader (2) and Conway. Repechage: Jarvis, Wright, Rochford, Trott. Oliver Jarvis was aggrieved to be black flagged in a heat for allegedly causing a multiple pile up when he tangled with Jay Howard.  This put him in the repechage, which he won, with more to follow…

Susie Stoddart lined up alongside polesitter Sheader for the first final, but she looked in trouble and was shuffled back to eleventh.  Andrew Swales was gutted to lose his grid three position when his engine was slow to fire after a red flag for a false start.  Sheader led throughout but had to hug the inside line round all of the final lap to fend off Conway, with Mark Litchfield a few kart lengths back. Jarvis put in a stunning drive to come through the field to fourth.

In the second final Sheader and Conway traded the lead until Jarvis came by both, the three nose to tail.  On the very last corner, Jarvis hugged the inside, but Sheader gave him a push wide collecting Conway who was busy trying to drive around the outside.  All three took to the dirt letting a delighted Mark Litchfield and Matthew Griffin speed past.  Jarvis still made the podium whilst Conway and Sheader got fourth and fifth.

Final 1: Sheader, Conway, Litchfield, Jarvis, Griffin, Doran.  Final 2: Litchfield, Griffin, Jarvis, Conway, Sheader, Williams.

ABkC Formula 100C

Heat Wins: Adams, Baines, Baker, Harraway, Todd, Styrin.

B Final: Harraway, Marshall, Whitby, Jarman.

Adams shook off challenges from Andrew Tinsley, who spun, and Scott Baines, who lost second to Stewart Baker.

A Final: Adams, Baker, Baines, Jiggins, Smith, Harraway.

ABkC Formula TKM

Heat wins: Quinlan, Clarke(2), Hall, Hobbs, Parker. B Final: Mortimer, Moore, Taylor, Soden.

Poleman Daniel Clarke led for a short time before dropping to eleventh, leaving an intense battle between eventual winner James Hobbs, Sam Quinlan, James Beacroft and David Parker.  James Gornall had a magnificent drive from near the back to third.

A Final: Hobbs, Quinlan, Gornall, Beacroft, Parker, Coles.

ABkC Champion ICA

Heat Wins: Inglis, Andrews, Eldridge, Railston, A. Wilson, Gardner.  B Final: A. Wilson, Langley, Goodfellow, D. Wilson.

Iain Inglis only enjoyed a brief period in the lead as Jason Gardner was just too strong, even although a red flag and single file restart closed up the field.  Martin Pierce took third away from Edward Pead.

A Final: Gardner, Inglis, Pierce, Pead, Oman, Griffiths.

Summerlee Scribblings…

Yet another chassis number missing, ICA’s Alex Ford going home with a meeting exclusion. Mark Duchacek was also excluded and fined in his absence for not returning at the end with sealed chassis parts for examination.  Harry Soden endured an underweight in the TKM final, having gone from the ‘B’ to 7th.  Fraser Sheader and Michael Conway were each given reprimands for the last corner Formula A incident.  In FA qualifying, Jason Williams missed out on 7th when he forgot to mount his transponder.  Gareth Hession forgot to fuel up his dry kart,  Mark Duchacek was late on the grid, whilst Stevie Morris’ engine refused to fire.  Barry Eldridge (ICA) has withdrawn his appeal from the Fulbeck exclusion.
