Seniors Round 5 All
the championships go down to the wire after several
upsets amongst the leaders at Clay Pigeon. A sudden
shower of rain wreaked havoc with the Formula A
form-book. TV
cameras were much in evidence, with the first FASTRAX
showing scheduled for Tuesday 12th September. ¨¨¨¨¨ Hill
House Hammond MSA British Kart Championship Qualifying: Conway, Panrucker,
Trott, Sheader, Spencer. In the heats, Conway
showed a clean pair of heels to Chris Trott. Final
1: As Conway blasted off the line to lead, Panrucker had
a flier from the second row but soon had to give best to
Sheader and James Wright. But Sheader left the door
open at the Horseshoe, Wright filling the gap and Oliver
Jarvis following, only for Sheader to fire his team-mate
off at the next corner, losing places to Panrucker, Chris
Rogers and Michael Spencer whilst Trott dropped away to
seventh. Final 2 looked to be shaping up
for a repeat, as Conway led Panrucker, Spencer and
Wright. But a first lap pile up in the Esses left
Pippa Manns kart in the middle of the track, the
unsighted leader having to take violent avoiding action
dropping him to third. Conway quickly fought back
to the lead whilst Spencer retired promoting Rogers.
Then the rain came with Conways kart losing its
advantage and Panrucker soon through to lead. Chris
Rogers found the most grip, disposing of Conway and
moving up to win. Conways woes were not over
yet, as Mark Litchfields attempted overtake knocked
him onto the grass at the hairpin, dropping him to 7th.
Conway later retaliated in the pits, earning both drivers
an official reprimand. Mark Rochford was superb in the
tricky conditions, coming from grid 17 to third, ahead of
Sheader and Litchfield. Final 1: Conway, Wright,
Panrucker, Rogers, Spencer, Sheader. Final 2: Rogers,
Panrucker, Rochford, Sheader, Litchfield, Williams. ABkC Formula 100C

just holding off Barry Eldridge and admitting he was just
not fast enough. Result: Inglis, Pead, Edgar, Eldridge,
Griffiths, Langley. Clay Chat:
