ELF HILL HOUSE HAMMOND S1 BRITISH CHAMPS: NUTTS CORNER

NUTTS CORNER (FORMULA A & JICA): 27.6.99

oliver Jarvis stormed to two straight victories in Junior Intercontinental A at the annual pilgrimage to the Ulster round of the Super One series, to further extend his championship lead over Chris Rogers and Alex Lloyd. In fact the three finished in championship order in both finals at Nutts Corner, polesitter Rogers losing out to Jarvis. Andrew Swales had a fourth and fifth, with Ed Tilley claiming fourth in the second final. In the senior British championships, Formula A, Michael Conway had pole but slipped backwards when the finals started, paving the way for Dean Panrucker to take victory in the first. But Panrucker could not hold back Matthew Griffin and Lars Sexton in the second final, Griffin claiming his first victory at this level. Simon Short took fourth and Stevie Morris catapulted his way through the field from a first final DNF to claim fifth and keep his championship lead from Michael Spencer and Panrucker.
