House Hammond MSA British Junior Kart Champs Qualifying: Di Resta 46.83, Love
46.9, Parkes 47.06, Hanley 47.11. Heat 1: di Resta, Love,
Hanley. Heat 2: Parkes, Wise, Love Heat 3: di Resta, Parkes, Hanley Final 1: At the lights Hanley
swooped round the outside of di Resta and Parkes but the
Scotsmans superior pace put him ahead again. Hanley
became embroiled in a battle with Parkes, Ian Johnstone
and Russell Love but his extreme defensive lines later
earned him a five place penalty. Parkes retired
after a whack up the back. Rodolfo Gonzalez
recovered from eighth to snatch third on the last lap
from Love, which became second after the judicials.
Result: di Resta, Gonzalez, Johnstone, Love, Wise,
Walters. Final 2: di Resta broke away
immediately, but this time Russell Love threw off his
pursuers and made chase. By mid-race and with a
brief kiss of rear wheels, Love had the lead putting di
Resta on the defensive from the approaching Jordan Wise.
Gonzalez was losing fourth to Ian Johnstone, whilst Ben
Hanley barely kept up. All round the last lap di
Resta tried his hardest to regain the lead, his eventual
desperate move on the defending Russell Love firing the
erstwhile leader off violently into the barriers and
letting Jordan Wise slip by for the win. Exclusion
followed for di Resta, leaving Johnstone second and
Gonzalez third. Result: Wise, Johnstone, Gonzalez, Hanley, Walters, Kirkpatrick. ABkC Formula Cadet Heat Wins: Sims, Riki C., Morgan,
Dolby. A Final: Craig Dolby and Alexander Sims broke away
at the front, the pace too hot for Jeremy Metcalfe who
lost the tow and dropped behind Riki Christodoulou.
Sims tracked Dolby for lap after lap, then sliced ahead
only for Dolby to retake the lead on the last half lap.
Freddie Martin-Dye was gutted to finish eighth and lose
the chance of the championship because of a down on power
engine. Result: Dolby, Sims, Riki C.,
Metcalfe, Morgan, Adam C. ABkC Formula Junior TKM Heat
wins: Oakes, McDonald (x2), Sargent, Keen, Cruttenden. B Final: Onslow-Cole, Robb, Smith, Curnow.. A Final: Oliver Oakes had a flier of a start, but Paul Wilson reeled him in, took the lead and kept it until the flag. A long way behind, Jonathan Robertson succumbed to George Lovell and Darryl McDonald, but the latters nudge induced grassy trip broke up the pack. David Gregory snatched third from Lovell on the last lap, with Mark Sargent in fourth. Provisional Results: Wilson, Oakes, Gregory, Lovell, Sargent, Keen. ABkC TKM Junior Intermediate Heat
wins: Parsons (x2), Lane, Roe. A Final: Alex
Mortimer and Ian Parsons traded the lead for several laps
until Luke Johnson came up to join the party. Last
lap and Parsons had his nose alongside Mortimers
kart for the lead but had to drop back, as he slid wide
gifting Johnson the win, Mortimer following. Provisional
Results: Johnson, Mortimer, Parsons, Roe, Hitch,
Ellingham. Formula
Junior Yamaha Heat
Wins: Bean, English, Turvey A Final:
Philip English got his nose up inside the challenging
Philip Turvey at the start and never looked back. Turvey

superb recovery from last to second, ahead of James Bean. Results:
English, Turvey, Bean, Allin, Anderson, Ross. Trent Tales
